Meet the balmiest superhero ever.  Eric is no ordinary school boy, for when Eric eats a banana, an amazing transformation occurs, Eric is Bananaman!  This classic childhood favourite is given the Rhubarb treatment, with lots of singing, acting out and becoming a superhero!

Come Home Already
Duck and Bear are neighbours. They do everything together. But when Bear decides to go fishing by himself, the separation leads to all sorts of problems.  Join Rhubarb for this hilarious tale by Jory John, as we meet with  these unlikely of friends for an adventure into the woods.

Daisy’s mum and dad are always too busy to listen to a word that she says, but a big purple rhino has just walked into the house and taken a chomp of her pancake and nobody’s listening! Daisy needs help and that’s where you come in. A fab story full of music, making, movement and acting.

Ahoy there, come and join Rhubarb Theatre on this charming Christmas tale by local author Addy Farmer, as we sail across the sea finding whales and mermaids, dolphins and pirates. Lyrical, musical and magical.

Snow Bear
There’s a bear who has nowhere to go, so he’s plodding along through the cold winter snow… brrrr. Can you help him find somewhere warm and safe? A winter tale that warms the cockles of your heart. Join us for music, movement, making and acting.

Superworm is super long, Superworm is super strong, watch him wiggle, watch him squirm, hip hip hooray for Superworm. Another gem from Julia Macdonald, taking us down the bottom of the garden for another Rhubarb Theatre adventure.

Jack and the Flumflum Tree
Jack’s granny’s got spots, big round purple ones, lots and lots.  The only cure is the fruit from the far away isle of Blowyernose.  Jack needs a boat and a  crew – are you brave enough to join Jack on his voyage across the sea?  Come on a quest for adventure with Rhubarb and another great story from Julia Donaldson.

What the Ladybird Heard
Join Rhubarb Theatre on Old MacDonald’s farm, where the smallest of creatures, a tiny ladybird who has never said a word, saves the day. A little story that’s packed full of big fun, music, movement and making.

That porridge is just too hot hot hot and the bears decide to go on a disastrous walk. Meanwhile a very naughty girl called Goldilocks is about to make a bad day even worse for the bears – can you help? Rhubarb gives this traditional tale a humorous twist and tweak.

Little Red Riding Hood
“Don’t talk to strangers, don’t stray off the path, take the biscuits straight to granny, don’t do anything daft!” Will Little Red Riding Hood heed her mother’s warnings, or will the big bad wolf get to granny’s house first?  This story can include biscuit making as well as additional activities.

The Princess and the Wizard
It’s Princess Eliza’s birthday and a wicked wizard has turned all her friends and family into stone and taken her prisoner! Luckily her fairy godmother has given her a spell to change her colour and change her shape… let’s hope that she can escape. A story full of colour and craft.

Dear Zoo
One little boy is looking for the perfect pet, so decides to write to his local zoo for ideas… sometimes with some disastrous consequences. A musical, puppet filled story. An interactive story session featuring one of our favourites!

Tiddler: The story-telling fish
Tiddler the smallest fish that tells the tallest tales, but do you believe Tiddler’s story? A magical story that takes you from a quirky pet shop to the depths of the sea. An underwater interactive story session!

Room on a Broom
It’s a windy day for a ride on a witches broom, so hold onto your hat and don’t drop your cat, and let’s hope you have enough room. An interactive story session based around this spooktacular family favourite!

The Gingerbread Man
Run, run, as fast as you can! This family favourite can include making gingerbread men during the telling of the story or simply acting it out and having lots of fun. Rhubarb brings this favourite traditional tale to new young story fans.

The Way Back Home
This workshop explores Oliver Jeffers beautiful children’s story about a small boy who finds an aeroplane in his cupboard & flies to the moon. Using storytelling, movement, music & art, this workshop will take you on a journey ‘out of this world’.

Lost and Found
What is a boy to do when a penguin just turns up on his doorstep? Find out where it came from and return it of course! Another beautiful book by Oliver Jeffers, bought to life through Rhubarb’s interactive story sessions.

Handa’s Surprise
I wonder what fruit my friend would like best? Follow Handa on a trip through the African plains, meet the animals and join in this storytelling guessing game. A fab story full of music, making, movement and acting.

The Snail and the Whale
Join the smallest of creatures on a voyage around the world as we use drama, movement and music in this storytelling workshop. A whale of a tale –  this session can be a combination of storytelling and making.

The Little Red Hen
A traditional tale full of fun characters, music, song and opportunities to act out the story. Rhubarb brings this favourite traditional tale to new young story fans. If you help our little red friend, you may even get to try some delicious home made bread!

We’re going on a Bear Hunt

The  children are encouraged to act out this exciting sensory journey, using song, movement and story telling. This workshop also includes fun messy art and making our own bear masks.

The Kiss that Missed
It’s bedtime, and the prince asks his daddy for his goodnight kiss…. but it misses and flies out of the castle window. Will you join Rhubarb’s knightly quest to retrieve the kings kiss, and don’t forget to watch out for the Wild Wood…

Stick Man
“Stickman lives in the family tree with his stick lady love and their stick children three. But the world is a dangerous place for stickman…” find out why, join Rhubarb Theatre for this well loved story.

The Tiger Child
Long ago, Tiger used to cook his food. But when his fire goes out, Tiger has to send his little nephew tiger cub to the village to get some more. If only the tiger child could remember what his uncle wanted. This lovely folk tale from India is told in a fun and creative way.

Jacks Fantastic Voyage
Jack has a very unusual grandfather. He likes to paint pictures everywhere and he tells the most amazing stories… but can they possibly be true. Join Rhubarb Theatre on this charming storytelling voyage using our signature mixture of music, movement and making.

Sanji and the Baker
Every morning and evening Sanji whiffed and sniffed the lovely smells that rose from the bakery…‘Thief, your stealing my smells!’ bellowed the baker and that’s where Sanji’s troubles began…

Shifty Mcgifty and Slippery Sam
Shifty and Sam are rubbish robber dogs, their swag bag always seems to be empty. But when the dastardly pair come up with a plan to trick their neighbours, so they can rob their houses, they find out they are rather good at something else instead… a fun and imaginative story.

The Gruffalo Story telling Workshop
This workshop explores the classic tale of The Gruffalo and the colourful characters that we meet in the deep dark wood. Using storytelling, movement, drama and art – the children can also make their own Gruffalo mask as part of the session.

Smartest Giant in Town
Another tale from the author of the Gruffalo, we follow our large friend on a walk that leads to the kind giant helping others in need, but as a result, ending up with very little in the way of clothing! A story with songs, games and making fun.

A Squash and a Squeeze
“Wise old man, won’t you help me please”… or maybe you could help sort out our little old lady’s house? Another Julia Donaldson classic using storytelling, music, acting and lots of fun.

Monkey Puzzle
“I’ve lost my mum”, poor monkey. But when you’re deep in the jungle, with only a bumbling butterfly as a friend, who knows what you’ll find…

Something Wonderful
When a small red hen shows how brave she is, you know you’ve seen something wonderful. Join us for this touching tale, exploring the weather and a farm full of hens!

The Enormous Crocodile
Watch out for the hungry croc – he loves to guzzle up little boys and girls! Join Rhubarb Theatre for this classic Roald Dahl tale. This storytelling workshop is full of fun filled drama, music and art – just bring the juicy and yummy kids!

Mungo and the Picture Book Pirates
Each night Mungo reads his favourite story, a swashbuckling tale of danger, kidnap and rescue. But one night the hero, Captain Fleet, isn’t there to save the day so Mungo decides to take action.  Will you join him and help to save the day?

My Brilliant Book
When Sam gets bored of all his books, he decides to make a book of his very own – a brilliant book with lots of brilliant things in it, like dinosaurs, cowboys, aliens and much, much more.

Mr Hare’s Big Secret
Mr. Hare has a secret… there are big, juicy cherries at the top of the tree, but he needs his friends’ help to get them down. Can you guess how – why by dancing of course!  This lovely story introduces woodland animals with lots and lots of movement.

Dinosaurs Love Underpants
This story explains the real reason Dinosaurs became extinct. Starting in a time machine, we travel back to explore the world of the cavemen in their first pairs of pants – silly, musical and creative.

Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book
What’s your favourite book? There’s no time to curl up and settle down in this story as we dive between the pages of a library of favourites in this fun-packed tale.

The Tiger who came for Tea 
Sophie and her mummy were just preparing a lovely tea when there’s a knock at the door and a ring at the bell.  Who could it be?  The milkman, the grocer, daddy?  No, it’s a big fluffy stripy tiger.. and he’s hungry!  Rhubarb Theatre turn this famous tale into a story-telling treat, packed with art, songs, acting out and lots of fun.

A Place called Home
Eddy, Freddy and Blip take us on a marvellous adventure, exploring other worlds in their homemade rocket.  When all of a sudden they are pulled towards a swirling, whirling black hole.  Who will help them?  Can they get home?  Only you can find out if you book Rhubarb for this swash buckling adventure in space, full of acting, singing, movement, the lot.
