“GLOBAL WARNING”: An Environmental Arts Activity Pack for Lincolnshire
Introduction
Hello, and welcome to this Environmental Arts Activity Pack, designed for Lincolnshire schools and community groups. This pack has been produced to help inspire and inform our children about the environment in a fun and active way, supporting and reinforcing important messages.
The lockdown has produced a need for more information to be accessed online, however it has also resulted in more people needing to get out into open spaces for their mental health. Unfortunately, this has led to an increase of tipping and littering. Environmental issues have not gone away. Pollution and the negative impact humans have on our natural world are all too noticeable.
Challenges such as these are addressed in this pack, enforcing a message to not only protect our wildlife, but also to make the countryside a more beautiful place to walk. The pack will encourage children and families to be proactive, providing activities and advice that can make a difference to their communities.
This pack can be accessed year after year and will be available online so anyone can use the content to inspire environmental projects.

A dustbin, a homeless lady, and an extra-ordinary tale of courage
A Poignant and Funny New Theatre Show from Rhubarb for 2021
It’s bin collection day and our two heroic waste collectors Max and Ola are racing to make up lost time. But what’s this? A dustbin that refuses to release its contents! What could be attached? It’s Doris, the dotty old lady who lives in the park.A struggle ensues as she clings onto her possessions. But every bin has a silver liner. So, when the pair of refuse loaders realise that ‘one man’s trash is another woman’s treasure’, an amazing trove of wonderous tales recycle their way out of the rubbish.
Rhubarb Theatre, known for their imaginative styles of storytelling, perform their latest bin-full of fantasy for all the family. Prepare for joy and sadness, laughter and tears & surprises around every corner. Dustbin Doris is waste-deep in theatrical play, puppetry, mask, dance, song and lots of laughter.
