SHHH!

Touring June 2006 - Feb 2007

SHHH!

Following its country-wide tour of hit show Mr Blue Sky, Rhubarb Theatre returns with Shhh!, a creative and colourful fantasy.

SHHH! is a story about stories...

Librarian Lil has worked in the library for forty-five years. She is old, tired and bored with her life. But you can't judge a book by its cover. For once the pages start to rustle, Librarian Lil is sucked into a whirlwind of words where tales of bravery become reality and every day sees a new adventure.

Through books she is transported to other worlds, placing herself in the role of the heroine she sails the seas, performs great feats of daring and wins the hearts of princes and audiences alike.

SHHH! is a show full of humour and poignancy told through visual inventiveness, puppetry, mask, dance and physical theatre, with live music and song throughout.
Directed by Rachael Savage, Music by Janie Armour.

Are you sitting comfortably? You won't be for long.

SHHH! is intrinsically linked to DfES speaking, listening and learning guidelines.

SHHH! excites our imaginations as we explore and promote the wonderful world of books!

SHHH! will be touring schools, literature and arts festivals and community venues from June 2006 to the end of February 2007 and is available NOW for booking!
